About the function
As a sheet metal worker, you will perform a wide range sheet metal work on aircrafts, both new construction (VIP, SMA) and repairs. Within the position of sheet metal worker you have the following tasks:
- You inspect, repair, modify and maintain aircrafts.
- You document deviations and manage tools and machines.
- You propose methods to improve efficiency and safety. It is critical to ensure that aircraft operate safely and efficiently. Where necessary, you will guide/on the job train junior sheet metal worker.
What we need
- You have +1- year experience as sheet metal worker within a civil and/or military aircraft maintenance surrounding.
- You also have excellent manual dexterity and strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- You can read and understand technical English.
- You have EU nationality or a work permit in the Netherlands
What we offer
- Fokker Techniek offers a long-term contract (12 months+) followed by a permanent contact with excellent conditions on employee base.
- €3750 gross per month + 5% ATV + 15% shift allowance (depending on experience and knowledge, based on 40 hours a week, overtime is applicable)
- During your first months we will evaluate your skills as a sheet metal worker and where necessary offer (specific) in-house sheet metal training courses to expand your knowledge & experience to the required level.
- By doing so, we are not only guaranteeing a successful deployment within the company but also expend your skills set!
- You not living in the region? No worries, we offer suitable short-term housing in the region for the first 6 to 12 months and will support you with finding permanent long-term housing after 6 months into your journey with Fokker Techniek.
