About the function
Do you fancy continuing your Finance career in a dynamic International organisation? You will be responsible for the organization’s accounting. Ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the bookkeeping and financial reports to management will come naturally to you. You will take full responsibility for the areas you proactively manage. Experience with Twinfield and/or Exact Globe is important for this role. Advanced Excel skills are essential, and experience with factoring and its administration is a plus. Your tasks will include:
- Managing the full accounting process from A to Z;
- Serving as the point of contact within the organization for VAT, payroll taxes, and related tax filings;
- Processing and allocating salaries received from the HR/payroll provider;
- Managing accounts receivable (debtor administration);
- Ensuring accurate, timely, and complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings;
- Preparing weekly management reports and identifying potential issues or red flags for management;
- Implementing legal and fiscal regulations;
- Providing information and making proposals for improvements to support management in making business decisions;
- Optimizing processes and procedures, improving efficiency, implementing controls, and suggesting improvements for systems, procedures, and automation;
- Ensuring adherence to key procedures and providing feedback to the organization and management.
What we need
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Available for a full-time role;
- MBO level 4 / HBO level of thinking and working;
- Good command of Dutch and/or English; a third language is a plus;
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel;
- Proven experience with Exact Globe and/or Twinfield is a plus;
- Experience with factoring and managing related administration is a significant advantage.

About the company
Your new employer is an international online marketing company with clients across Europe, the UK, and Canada. Their in-house call center facilitates price comparison offers for various types of products. They receive online quote requests which the calling agents follow up on daily. They operate from a modern, international office in Leiden, directly next to Leiden Central Station. The primary working languages are English and Dutch, and the team consists of around 35 telemarketers with a diverse mix of colleagues from the Netherlands, France, Italy, Brazil, Portugal, Germany, and more.
